For the Business Traveler and Visiting Tourist

Our lives are filled with stressful situations that can take their toll on our bodies. For many, traveling only adds to the problem. Massage Traveler provides the relief you seek, with licensed massage therapists who will travel to you, providing therapeutic massage in the comfort and convenience of your hotel room.

Massage received by the traveler at their hotel is becoming more and more popular as a way to relieve the stresses of travel. As more and more people take to the skies, traveling by plane has become increasingly frustrating and stressful, particularly for the business traveler. Consequently, the incidence of people suffering from problems associated with flying has increased dramatically. Anxiety is a common problem, jet lag, and cramped conditions lead to stiffness and other problems. Massage soothes and relieves these problems.

Massage Benefits for the Traveler
  • Relieves stiffness from travel
  • Reduces stress and anxiety
  • Helps relieves jetlag
  • Increases relaxation
  • Better sleep

Jetlag

Interestingly enough, it is not the length of the flight that will determine how much jetlag you experience, but how many time zones you have gone through. Traveling long distance and across time zones can cause some travelers to suffer from disorientation as their body clock struggles to adjust to the new environment. Other physical symptoms include fatigue, insomnia, swelling limbs, stomach distress, headache, and a decrease in concentration and short term memory. Massage can help in relieving these symptoms and helps regulate sleeping patterns.

Tips for Traveling by Plane and Avoiding Jetlag

  • To avoid becoming dehydrated drink water throughout the flight, preferably 8oz of water for each hour you are in the air.
  • Keep your circulation moving by getting up and moving around every so often. Also, perform self-massage to your legs, particularly to your calves.
  • Avoid alcohol and coffee before and during the flight.
  • Yawn or chew gum to avoid pressure build-up in your ears.
  • Cut down on salt intake. Salt aggravates thirst and causes a rise in blood pressure.
  • Set your watch to the local time.

Nothing invigorates faster than a massage!
