Massage for Geriatric and Medically Fragile Patients

We have dedicated massage therapists who travel to nursing homes, hospitals, and private homes to provide therapeutic massage to people who have difficulty leaving their homes or even their beds. These clients may have a chronic or terminal illness, or they may be suffering from an injury or at an advanced age. Examples include cancer patients, geriatric patients, hospice patients, and multiple sclerosis (MS) patients. Read more about this service here.

Reflexology

Our reflexology service is not offered exclusively but can be included as part of a session upon request. Reflexology uses firm pressure on specific points in the hands and feet. These areas contain most of the body’s nerves, which makes massage to these areas highly effective. Reflexology is a powerful antidote to stress.

What to Expect for In-Home Massage

Our massage travelers are in demand.

Reservations - For home massage, we can typically accommodate same-day requests. However, booking ahead of time will ensure we have availability for you.

Setup - Your licensed massage therapist will provide a high-quality massage table, soft clean linens, music, lotion, and all the necessary tools to create a soothing and relaxing atmosphere.

 

Space - A space of 10x8 provides room for the massage table as well as for the massage therapist to navigate around the table comfortably.

 

Health History - For your safety and health, we ask that you fill out a brief health history and consent form. This form will remain confidential.

Draping - A sheet or towel will modestly cover you at all times. You may undress to your comfort level or remain clothed. The massage can be modified to work through the sheets or clothing. Modest draping is required by law. All of our therapists adhere to all legal and ethical standards.

Privacy - Before and after the massage, the therapist will excuse himself or herself so that you may get on/off the table in private.

Note: All our massage therapists are professionally trained, licensed, and insured. All massage services are performed as defined by the Washington State Board of Massage.
